Journeyman Carpenter

Penta Construction currently has opportunities for journeymen carpenters to join our team on a full-time basis.

As a skilled carpentry labourer, some of your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: 

– Residential Interior & Exterior renovations. 

– Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to understand project specifications 

– Measure, cut, or shape wood, plastic, fiberglass, drywall, and other materials 

– Build window frames, doors, staircases, and frame buildings by using raw materials or pre-constructed items 

– Install structures and fixtures such as windows, molding, cabinets, door frames, and hardware 

– Inspect and replace damaged framework or other structures and fixtures 

– Complete demolition of bathrooms, kitchens, decks, fences, etc. 

– Minor repairs and warranty work. 

– Working directly with Subcontractors, site supervisors, and Customers. 

– Framing, Roofing, Siding, Insulation, Drywall, Wall repairs, painting

Requirements: 

-Can do and solution based attitude 

-Valid Drivers Licence and recent drivers Abstract. 

-Good at troubleshooting. 

-Carpentry Handyman skills, Use of basic hand tools 

-Construction experience is a must 

-Must have own tools. 

-Work under pressure of deadlines 

-Ability to multi task 

-Being a team player 

-Take direction from site supervisor 

-Work Related References required 

-Must be able to work alone unsupervised. 

Schedule: 8 hour shift Day shift Monday to Friday 

Ability to commute/relocate: Saskatoon, SK: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required) 

Experience: carpentry: 1 year (preferred)
